Marissa's mother allowed her to stay inside for the rest of the weekend. For a reasonable explanation that Marissa had finally grown her extra arms. Marissa's mother knew that she was from a long line of women who, at a young age, grew a pair of extra arms. However, Marissa's mother was hoping that it skipped a generation so that she would not have to explain why she had two extra arms to her own daughter.
Since that did not work out, Marissa's mother did not know how to explain this to her own daughter. It was tough enough for her to go through and accept as a child. She did not want her own daughter to have to go through the same life that she was destined to live. However, since two days ago her daughter had grown her own pair of extra arms there was no ways for her to not be able avoiding the subject.
Finally, after procrastination for two days, Marisa's mother, on a Sunday, walked into Marissa's room and said, "Marissa. I'm sorry that I did not talk to you about our womanly lineage but I was hoping that you were not burden with the fact of having four arms. I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive me for not telling you about the possibility that you could have gained my genetic abnormality."
Sitting on her bed, as she did for most of the weekend, Marissa looked up at her mother and said, "Mom, I'm angry that you didn't actually say something about this but I must admit that it has made the small thing in my life easier. I understand that you tried to protect me as my mother but I feel betrayed that you did not trust me enough with the information of you r true self. "
Lifting her lower left hand, Marissa's mother put her hand on Marissa's shoulder. "What can I do to help you in adjusting to your new life? I want to help you," responded Marissa's mother.
Suddenly, the front door slammed. "Honey, I'm home. How was your morning?"
"It was ok sweetie. I'm up in Marissa's room. We started to talk about her acceptance of having four arms. Could you come up to help me please?"
"Sure,' stated Marissa's father. 'Let me put my golf bag away and I will be right up."
Signing, Marissa felt like she didn't need her father bagging on her about 'accepting' her new role in life with a grand total of four arms. It was bad enough that she had to live the rest of her life with two extra arms than 'normal' people did. What could she possibly do besides be patronized by her parent about the benefits of an extra pair of hands. How much more could things get worse in her life? She was actually one of the most well-known students on the local college campus; teachers went to her for her intecullaul knowledge of the subject manner she studied. Now, she felt that things had gone from good to really, really bad. How could she explain this to her friends and professors at the University? That is exactly why she stayed inside at her parent's place of the weekend. How could she ever explain this to her sorority sisters and the entire world?

"Shit we're running late! We have to use the elevator," exclaimed Samuel, running at top speed, through the main entrance.
"Oh, no Sam. Please don't," Samantha pleaded, as the elevator doors opened.
"We don't have the time and we can't run up that many stairs. Don't worry, you can do this," said Samuel well aware that his sister was claustrophobic. It all started after they got caught up in an anti-magic field, and she almost died that day, but it never stopped her from being cheerful. Samuel just assumed that that cheerfulness was how she coped with the events of that day. Regardless they got in the elevator with Samuel

Chapter 7-Halloween Night.
Sylvie finished brushing her short, red hair and laid down the brush. Looking at the mirror, she saw a young girl with dark green eyes staring nervously back at her. Contrary to what she had said to Taryn earlier, she was very nervous about attending this party. She wasn't sure what was driving her to go, stubbornness she supposed. There was every chance she could be found out tonight. However, she was determined to make that little witch Sarah pay dearly tonight. The thought of her rival submitting to her in defeat was a powerful drug, intoxicating to her. With renewed energy, she checked her costume top to make s
